If you're unable to find emails (especially older ones) in the Outlook desktop app, try performing a server-side search using Outlook on the Web.
Step 1:
Open your preferred web browser and go to:https://outlook.office.com/mail/.
Please sign in if required.
Step 2:
Hover over the search bar at the top and click the three horizontal lines (filter icon) to bring up the Outlook search filters.
Step 3:
Enter your desired filter criteria, then click Search.
